The Latin Quarter

The De Pijp district in Amsterdam is better known as the Latin Quarter. It was founded in the nineteenth century and still carries out the spirit of that time. It is one of the busiest places in the city. There you will find traditional businesses and creative entrepreneurs, specialized shops, cozy cafes, restaurants and everything related to delicious and varied food bites, drinking and fun. It also houses Europe’s largest daily market, named the Albert Cuyp Market. As though the place brings out all the colors and emotions of the Latin Quarter itself. The neighborhood is a favorite spot for young people and especially students who often organize meetings there. The Latin Quarter is also included in the guided city tours, which you can join.
